This artwork is inspired by Long Beach, Darina's favourite spot in her hometown, Russell / Kororāreka, NZ.
And the endless summer days she spends there with her children. These are moments Darina truly feels that time slowed down; we live fully in the moment, the sun stays up a little longer, and the beach becomes the whole world.
She loves watching children make memories that will last a lifetime, and the simple joy of being by the sea.
