How it works:

Initial Consultation:
After your initial email, we will arrange to meet or send an email so I can understand your vision for your portrait. At this time, the size, number of subjects, and the elements you wish to include will be discussed, as well as the time frame for completion. 
I work from photos, which must be of high quality. 

Contract and deposit:
Before I begin to create your portrait, I require a deposit of 50% of the fee.  The total balance is due upon completion.

Portrait design:
In case of more complex artwork, I can create a mock-up of the portrait’s composition for your approval via email.

The portrait creation:
Once the sketch is approved, I will begin the painting, using the finest paints and materials to ensure the longevity of your artwork. Upon request, I will email pictures of the progress and keep you updated throughout the process.  An animal portrait can take a week to a few months, depending on its complexity and size and my existing workload.

I will send a digital photo to confirm the completion of the portrait, and you are also welcome to view the painting in person. 

Shipping:
Your artwork will be delivered by courier at your cost. It will be well-packed and shipped in a protective box. Alternatively, you can choose to collect it in person.
